Cyber Security Survey

1. Introduction

Miller Research has been appointed by Cardiff University to deliver a study of the cyber security sector in Wales. Our brief is to supply the Centre for Cyber Security Research (CCSR) ( and the Wales cyber security industry with comprehensive sector information. The pan-Wales analysis aims to provide an understanding of regional strengths, including highlighting any areas of unique activity, to enable it to better support and help expand Wales’ growing and vibrant cyber security ecosystem. The specific aims of the study are to provide an understanding of the current cyber security activity in Wales, to capture the direct economic impact of this activity and to horizon-scan for up and coming industry trends and future skill sets in cyber security. As part of the study, which is endorsed by Welsh Government, we are aiming to survey all key organisations involved in cyber security in Wales about their businesses, the issues they face and how they see the cyber security sector developing in the future. We thank you in advance for taking the trouble to complete this survey. Your feedback is extremely appreciated and valued. Although we ask for your company name, this is only to enable us to identify who has and has not completed the survey and all the information obtained will be presented anonymously in the final report. A copy of the final report will be sent to all survey respondents, higher educational organisations and Welsh Government, and key findings will be shared widely with the Wales cyber security industry.
