Thank you for taking time to complete this survey. You have been asked to complete this survey because you live in Essex and are possibly eligible for an older person's or disabled persons concessionary bus pass.
Essex County Council is working with Rocket Science (a research organisation) to try to understand changes in bus use among people that are eligible for concessionary bus passes (free passes for senior and disabled people). This is a bus pass that allows free travel between 9:00am and midnight (12:00am) on weekdays and all day at weekends and on bank holidays. People 66 and older and people with certain disabilities are eligible.
It is completely your choice if you want to complete the survey. And you can decide not to take part at any time without having to give a reason. Because we are not collecting your name or any way to identify you, when you submit your responses, it will not be possible to withdraw your data.
This short survey will ask you some questions about your travel habits and your thoughts about using the bus. Your answers will help Essex County Council know how to improve bus options for you and others across the county. It should take around 10 minutes to complete.
If you complete the survey you can choose to be entered into a prize draw where you can win:

This survey is important because if fewer people use their concessionary passes, bus companies across Essex receive less funding and this means services may reduce for everyone.
