This privacy notice explains, briefly, how we use the personal information we collect about you when you apply to volunteer with us as a Fenland Community Cancer Champion.
What information do we collect about you? We collect personal information about you when you complete and return this volunteer application form. This includes your contact details, some medical details and details on your background.
How will we use the information about you? We use this information in order to help us decide on your suitability to volunteer with us. Some of our processing is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations and some is necessary for the performance of a contract with you, or to take steps to enter into a contract.
Who might we share your information with? Your completed application will be kept confidentially by Cambridgeshire ACRE and not shared with anyone else without your consent.
How long do we keep hold of your information? If you are unsuccessful in your application to volunteer, this application form will be immediately destroyed once the decision has been communicated you to. The application form of a successful volunteer will be retained for the duration of their volunteering activity with us.
How can I access the information you hold about me? You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of this information, please email our Data Protection Officer (see 'How to contact us' below) to make this request. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
