This survey forms part of an evaluation of Global Futures, led by Arad Research. Global Futures is the Welsh Government strategy to support all learners to become global citizens, to be able to speak to people in other languages, and to understand and appreciate their own and other cultures.
The questionnaire is being distributed to all secondary, primary and special schools in Wales. The survey is aimed at the following:
- In secondary schools, Heads of International Languages / Modern Foreign Languages
- In primary schools, International Languages leads / senior leaders with responsibility for languages
This has been designed as a short and focused questionnaire. It collects information on:
- Current language teaching and learning
- Engagement with Global Futures and perceived impact of activities
- Activity to plan for international languages as part of the new curriculum arrangements
