All news articles that are published on Hwb must meet the following criteria.

Education focused  
Any news story should be relevant to education practitioners or learners in Wales (for example a request to promote a ‘Health-related survey’ with no direct relevance to teaching and learning is not suitable. However if a lesson plan has been developed around the topic of the survey which links to the curriculum this is then relevant)

Non-commercial in nature
Any event or activity should not give an unfair competitive advantage to the company advertising (for example a university promoting its courses)

Wales wide
The event/competition should be one that all learners or teachers in Wales could attend (for example not a competition centred in a particular town, city or local authority)

Language
Welsh and English languages should be represented appropriately (for example if a competition is based in England we can still advertise it but make it clear that the entry is expected in the English language)
