NHS Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is responsible for making sure people get the healthcare they need.
The contract for the Interpreting Service used by GP services is due to come to an end in October 2022. The views gathered will be used to help us decide what interpreting services are needed for the population of Kirklees.
To use the NHS some people, need help with communication such as language or British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters for appointments. This makes sure that people fully understand and get the best out of their treatment.
We want to work with patients and local people to understand what they value about the service provided by the Interpreting Service so that we can improve and develop the service.
This survey is only about the Interpreting service that patients can access when using GP services. It is not about the use of interpreters in hospitals, Dentist or Opticians.
