Kenley Policing Survey January 2025

 


Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is dedicated to serving your community & making a difference.

We work diligently in response to reports of anti-social behaviour and crime in your area, working closely with the council, partner agencies and the community to solve these issues.

We meet with the Ward Panel of community members who set our ward priorities, every three months.

By taking part in this quarterly survey, you will help shape our policing response and ensure that we deal with issues that matter most to you and the local community.

Community members from your ward, along with your Safer Neighbourhoods team, Council representatives and partner organisations hold quarterly ward panel meetings to discuss and decide on three specific priorities that they would like their Safer Neighbourhood Team to focus on.

The current priorities are:

1) Vehicle Offence's 

2) Theft (including shoplifting)

3) Violence again the person

6. Theft was selected as a priority in the previous ward panel meeting.
'Theft from Person', 'Shoplifting', 'Bicycle Theft', 'Other Theft'
There were 26 reported incidents of Theft in the months of October, November, December 2024, which include residential, business and unconnected out building.

How concerned are you about Theft on Kenley ward? *

 

7. Vehicle offences were selected as a priority in the previous ward panel meeting.
Please note that Vehicle offences include Theft from Motor Vehicle, Theft of Motor Vehicle as well as Interfering with Motor Vehicle.
There were 13 calls to police for Vehicle offences in the months of  October, November, December 2024.

How concerned are you about Vehicle offences on Kenley ward? *

 

8. Violence Against The Person was selected as a priority in the previous ward panel meeting.

Please note that Violence Against The Person is divided into several different offences such as harassment, hate crime, assault, domestic violence, malicious communication, dangerous dog, etc.
There were 44 calls to police for Violence Against The Person in the months of  October, November, December 2024. 

How concerned are you about Violence Against The Person crime on Kenley ward? *

 

9. Community members from your ward, along with Council representatives and other organisations hold regular ward panel meetings to discuss and decide on a set of priorities that they would like their Safer Neighbourhood Team to focus on.

The current priorities are:
Theft, Vehicle offences, Violence Against The Person.

10. A ward panel meeting is normally held once a quarter (January, April, July, October) and the Safer Neighbourhood Team attend. Each meeting includes a rundown of local crime statistics, information on recent incidents and news on what the team has been involved in during the period.
