About this survey

This survey is conducted by Creative United who run the Own Art scheme.

We are keen to better understand how being represented by an Own Art member gallery or art fair makes a difference to you, the artist, and what you know about the scheme. Your experience and views are important to us, and will help us improve the scheme for the benefit of more artists and craftspeople.

Own Art enables galleries and art fairs to sell artists' and craftspeople's work with interest-free credit. In this way the scheme is breaking down financial barriers for more people to own original art and craft, especially if they are on lower incomes. They are able to spread the cost, making purchasing art and craft more affordable. And, subsequently, more work is sold creating more income for artists and craftspeople.

As we did last year, we are asking artists whose work is represented by a gallery or art fair which is a member of our Own Art scheme to complete our survey. This time we're focussing on the period 1 January to 31 December 2025.

The survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete.

If you have any problems completing the survey, please email us here info@ownart.org.uk, or call 020 7759 1111.

More About Own Art

Own Art is operated by Creative United in partnership with Novuna Personal Finance, with funding from Arts Council England, Arts Council of Wales, Creative Scotland and Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

Established in 2004, the Own Art scheme was set up to get more people involved in buying and collecting works of contemporary art and craft by living artists. This is achieved by promoting and facilitating access to a consumer credit facility which allows individuals to apply for an interest free loan and spread the cost of art or craft over 10 months at Own Art member galleries. Loans are currently available between £100 and £2,500.
