We've designed this online survey for people to do on their own. But, if you'd like to do this over the phone with someone, please email Jessica - jessica@wandcareall.org.uk to arrange a suitable time.
What is the purpose of this research?
The overall aim of this research is to explore co-production within the adult social care sector, with a specific focus on members of the Wandsworth Co-Production and Partnership Group. We want to learn about the experiences of the group, barriers and enablers in attending, and how we can make sure the voices of seldom heard groups are being listened to. We want to promote and support meaningful engagement of people with lived experience in planning, designing and evaluating services to make sure they better meet the needs of local people.
This research will inform a co-production charter for LBW. This will be a statement of intent that shows LBW’s commitment to work together with service users and residents on an equal basis to improve the experiences of those who use Social Care Services. It will set out the principles and practices of co-production, and provides tips, guidance and links to resources for doing it well.
Your Data
WCA will collect your response either via a 1-to-1 interview (online or face to face) or an online survey. This is only for the purpose of a report and co-production charter. All data will be held by WCA for 3 years and then destroyed after this time. Response data may be shared with LBW but will not be shared with other third parties. All information will remain anonymised in our reports. Quotations from your responses may be included, however, we will remove any personal details that may make you identifiable.
Participation is entirely voluntary, and you can withdraw from the research at any time, without having to give a reason. If you need to take a break at any point, please feel free to do so.
Are there any considerations I should be aware of before joining?
You’ll be asked to share your views and experiences of co-production and how your voice is heard as somebody with lived experience (if you fall into this category) in the forums/meetings you attend. Some questions may involve reflecting on personal or professional experiences. While we have designed questions to avoid causing distress as far as possible, you are free to skip any questions you don’t wish to answer.
There are no direct risks associated with taking part, and you can stop at any time without giving a reason. However, some people may find the topic difficult to talk about and your wellbeing will be prioritised. Depending on the situation, you will be given necessary time to recover or signposted to an appropriate organisation. Interviews will only be resumed after you have confirmed you are happy to continue. If you decide that you no longer wish to take part, your details will be withdrawn from the research.
Please get in touch if you have any questions, worries or concerns prior to completing the survey - Jessica at jessica@wandcareall.org.uk
