Thank you for your interest in this survey. At Social Change, we are working with the North Central London Cancer Alliance as they are looking to improve awareness of lung cancer symptoms and uptake of the Lung Cancer Screening programme. This includes understanding how people recognise lung cancer symptoms, when they seek medical help, and how best to communicate important health information to communities across North Central London.
You don’t need to know the signs of lung cancer to take part – in fact, that’s exactly why we are asking these questions. Your views will help us design a campaign that makes it easier for people to understand the symptoms and the importance of screening. It’s important to know that not everyone who has symptoms will go on to have lung cancer, and not everyone who is screened will have lung cancer. Screening is simply a way to catch problems early, when treatment can be most effective.
This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is being conducted by Social Change, an independent social research and marketing agency, on behalf of the North Central London Cancer Alliance. As a thank you for your time, you will have the option to enter a prize draw to win a £100 shopping voucher.
Your experiences and opinions are very valuable and will help us understand what influences health-seeking behaviour and the barriers people face when considering their health. The insights gathered from this survey will directly inform future campaigns and strategies to help people recognise symptoms early and access appropriate care.
All your answers will be stored securely and kept confidential. This means we will not identify you at any point in the storing, processing and reporting of the data.
