How we use your data - Have your say
As a health service commissioner, we use information about the care of patients to review, deliver and plan current and future health care services. To do this, we need to be able to see information about the care provided to patients which can include patient level data (e.g. information about an individual's care such as medication and location, but never a name or address).
We know that people feel strongly about the use of data in health and care, and we would like to better understand what is important to local people.
As a member of our People’s Network, we would like you to complete the following short survey which should take no longer than 5 minutes, to help shape our future plans.
The survey will remain open until Friday 21 February.
1. Are you aware that the NHS uses your personal data to inform and make decisions about your own personal care?
2. Are you aware that the NHS uses your patient data to help inform changes that effect the health of the wider population? For example, for planning improvements to services or in research and innovation.
3. Thinking about the last question, to what extent do you think you understand why we do this?
4. What information would help you better understand how we use your data?
5. To what extent do you agree with the following statements?
6. Below are three scenarios where we may use your personal data locally. Please tell us for each other whether you think you should be told or do not need to be told
