North Yorkshire Council 2026 holiday childcare survey for parents and carers of school-age children

0%

North Yorkshire Council understands that the need for childcare does not stop when the school term ends.

For many families, the school holidays can bring additional challenges, with the demand for childcare often increasing, particularly for young children and those of school-age.

With funding provided by the government, North Yorkshire Council is working to better understand the childcare needs of local families during the school holiday period. We are keen to hear directly from parents, carers and guardians about what matters most to them, including the types of support and provision that would make a difference.

Your views will help shape future services and ensure that support is accessible, inclusive and responsive to the needs of families across North Yorkshire.

The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please submit responses by Friday 26th June 2026.

For more information about the local authority’s responsibility to secure sufficient holiday childcare, or about the purpose of this survey, please visit the DfE's school-age childcare local authority capacity funding guidance.
