What information is being collected?
For this recruitment we have asked you for information about your age, your gender, parental status, name and contact details including telephone number and email address.
Why is it being collected?
We are collecting this data for a number of reasons. Information about your age, your gender and parental status, is being collected to ensure that we are speaking to the right people for our project. Your IP address is collected automatically and we delete this before analysis the surveys. We will also ask you for your name, email address and phone number, this is so that we can contact you regarding the recruitment for the next phase of the campaign.
Who is collecting it?
Hitch marketing are a social marketing agency currently undertaking a research project on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council Public Health (https://www.hitchmarketing.co.uk).
How will it be used?
The data will be used as part of our analysis to help support our campaign to reduce alcohol harms. It will not be shared with any other organisations or 3rd parties.
How long will it be kept?
We will keep your details for 6 months following the completion of the project and will then be securely destroyed.
How will it be stored?
Your details will be stored digitally on our password protected server. Any hard copy of data will be kept in a locked filing cabinet when not being used for analysis purposes. It will continue to be stored there for 6 months following the completion of the project.
Your right to anonymity.
As a participant you have the right to access your data and have to the right to withdraw your consent to be included in the project. You can do this by contacting Hitch at the following address:
