Charnwood Borough Council is undertaking a public consultation on a proposal to install new closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the Epinal Way/Park Road area. This initiative follows a business survey which was undertaken in July 2025. The cameras are being considered to help prevent and detect crime and ASB, increase security and improve safety for all residents and businesses.
We believe a CCTV system could serve as a powerful deterrent and assist Charnwood Borough Council and Leicestershire Police in investigating incidents within the area. We are writing to you and all other residents and businesses in the area to gather your views before making a final decision.
We want to hear your views, concerns, and suggestions. Your feedback is crucial in helping us assess the community impact and make an informed decision.
