Oldham's BIG SEND Survey
1.
Introduction
0%
The support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities covers all aspects of life from early years through to adulthood and Oldham Parent Carer Forum act as a voice for parents and carers to ensure their views, wishes and feelings are listened to, understood and inform the development of services to meet need in Oldham through participation and co-production.
Our representations are based on YOUR feedback alone, therefore it is really important that you share your views with us, because we can only use feedback you have given and would not be aware of your priorities, issues or experiences unless you tell us about them.
This survey covers the following areas relating to the provision and services for children and young people with SEND and their families:
Early Years
Short Breaks and Social Activities
SEN Support including the Graduated Response.
Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP’s) including the Annual Review of EHCP’s
Home to School Transport
Accessing your community
Transitions including post-16.
Employment and Training
Independent Living (Including Finance and Housing)
Mental Health and Wellbeing
Health Services
Social Care
When answering the priority questions, we need you to be specific so that we have clear understanding of your concerns, represent them well and enable you to feel that your voice is heard and your child, young person or your own experiences improve.
There is also a question about Oldham's SEND Local Offer and a question on the progress made since the OFSTED/CQC Revisit in September 2019 and a confidence rating.
The personal details required at the end of the survey will not be shared with our partners. Whilst mandatory, these are to ensure survey results are validated against our memberships, giving assurance that the report is the voice of our members, and to enable us to enter you into the draw for a £25 voucher together with a goodie bag that will include some Hidden Disabilities merchandise.
After the survey closes, Oldham PCF will report on the outcome of the survey and share the feedback with you. We will use this information throughout 2021-22 reporting back quarterly using a You Said We Did report so you can see how your voice is shaping local conversations, any plans to improve SEND in Oldham and importantly track what has changed to improve the lives of our children and young people with SEND.
This survey will take 5 minutes to complete so please answer all questions fully.
