Your Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Matt Storey is responsible for setting the police budget. Part of this responsibility includes setting the amount you pay for policing in your Council Tax - something known as the police precept.
To help inform his decision, the PCC wants to hear from local residents about how much more they would be willing to pay to support their local police service.
Of the £203 million we currently spend on Policing and Crime in Cleveland:
- £53m comes from your Council Tax payments
- The vast majority of the remaining £150m comes from the Government
