Welcome!
Over the next 10 minutes, we're going to ask you some questions to help you think about how you study. You'll be asked about how you revise for tests and exams, and how you feel about school and studying in general.
The insights this survey provides will be used in two ways:
- Firstly, your teachers will see averages for how your school as a whole responded, and may use this to offer you better advice and support in your studies, to help you do well in exams.
- Secondly, with your permission which you will be asked for at the end of the survey, researchers would like to use averaged responses from all schools participating in the research to further scientific understanding of effective study habits in practice, and thereby helping future generations of students at all schools prepare more effectively for their exams. This may include publishing research findings in academic journals about education and psychology.
You won’t be asked for your name or any other information which could be used to identify you personally, so your answers will be completely anonymous to both the researchers and your school.
However, this is important research, so please do take the time to answer the questions thoughtfully and to the best of your ability.
The research has been designed by a team of scientists including William Wadsworth, who is Cambridge University trained independent researcher living in the UK, and Professor Henry Roediger and his colleagues at the Washington University Memory Lab in the USA.
The survey should guide you through everything you need to do, but if you have any questions, please ask your teacher.
.
It should take you about 10-15 minutes to complete.
See you on the other side!
