Welcome to the Three Wishes for My Community survey.
This very short survey is to enable you to tell what three wishes you would make for your community. This is part of the work being undertaken by Stepps and District Community Council with people that live, work and travel through our community to develop our Local Place Plan.
A Local Place Plan is a community-led initiative that provides an opportunity for people connected to communities to shape the future of our area. By contributing to this plan, you help highlight what matters most to our community, from preserving cherished spaces to addressing local needs and aspirations.
Local Place Plans offer several key benefits for communities, such as:
Empowering Local Voices: They allow residents to take an active role in shaping their community's future, ensuring that decisions reflect local priorities and values.
Influencing Decision-Makers: A well-crafted Local Place Plan can guide councils and other organizations, helping them better understand and address the community's needs when making planning decisions.
Strengthening Community Identity: By bringing people together to share their ideas and aspirations, the process fosters a stronger sense of community and belonging.
Enhancing Quality of Life: Focused on improving spaces and services, Local Place Plans aim to make the area safer, greener, and more enjoyable for everyone.
Promoting Sustainability: They often encourage sustainable development practices, balancing growth with environmental preservation.
You have chosen to click on the link to make your three wishes online, but you can also pick up a card, write down your three wishes and return them to boxes at a variety of locations, including the Co-Op, Colliery Cafe, Delricos Cafe, Stepps Primary School and Stepps Library.
Thank you for taking part and making your voice heard!
