“A carer is anyone, including children and adults, who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. The care they give is unpaid.” – NHS England 

The type of care a carer provides, the number of hours and intensity can vary.

As part of our research project focusing on social care, we want to better understand:

• The challenges carers face, including barriers to accessing support but also what is working well
  
  
• Experiences of accessing social care for the person they care for

The survey should take 5 – 15 minutes to complete.  

The information you give us is confidential and anonymised before we share it with relevant agencies. Your personal information is never included in our survey reports. You can read our privacy notice here.
