Over the next few years, we are going to be changing our qualifications. As we develop these qualifications, we want to make sure that we listen to and consider the views of parents and carers.
We are looking for views from the parents and carers of learners currently in the senior phase (S4-S6).
Your feedback will help us make decisions about what our qualifications should look like to make sure they are right for learners, now and in the future.
What am I being asked to do?
This survey will ask you questions about qualifications that learners study in the senior phase of school.
You will be asked questions about workload, assessments, grades, and your awareness of vocational qualifications. You will also be asked some questions about yourself. You do not need to answer these questions but doing so will help us to understand how representative our survey is.
The survey will be open until 5pm on Friday 2 October and should take around 15-20 minutes to complete.
How will my information be handled?
The survey is anonymous and no identifying information about you or your children’s school will be kept or published in reports or presentations. To protect your identity, data that has not been anonymised or analysed will only be shared with those working directly on the research.
Because the survey is anonymous, we will not be able to remove your data once you have started the survey.
Your data will be stored securely in a drive that can only be accessed by those working directly on the research. After the design process is complete, this data will be destroyed.
How should I answer the survey?
The survey is completely voluntary so you do not need to take part if you do not want to.
We are looking for views from the parents and carers of learners currently in the senior phase (S4-S6). If you are also the parent or carer of learners who are in S1-S3, please only answer these questions about those who are currently in the senior phase.
You may receive this survey from more than one source, but please only complete it once.
