---------------------------------------

What will be covered?

This session offers peer supported development of your documentation plan, with input and guidance from Collections Trust.

Documentation is an ongoing process and documentation planning is an integral part of a museum’s collections management activity. It is an Accreditation requirement that museum’s produce a documentation plan that outlines their documentation priorities. Like all plans, the documentation plan should reference aims, actions, resources, risks and timeframes.

Attendees will submit their current documentation plan in advance for constructive discussion with a small group of participants from up to 6 museums (there can be up to two attendees from each museum).

Documents will be circulated in advance so that all attendees have time to review the plans ready for discussion.

This is a discussion led workshop, so attendees will need a microphone.

Who should attend?

Anyone who is involved with collections management and specifically documentation, plus those who need to understand and sign off the policies and plans within the museum. Trustees, volunteers and any staff are welcome to attend.
