About this survey
We're developing two new Charters setting out what learners and teachers and practitioners can expect from Qualifications Scotland. A Charter is a formal document that describes the standard of service we will provide, how we work together, joint expectations and responsibilities.
We've listened to what learners, parents and carers, and teachers and practitioners have told us matters to them, and used their feedback to prepare the first drafts of the Charters.
We'd now like to hear your views on these drafts. Your feedback will help us decide what changes to make.
You'll see the draft Charter text in boxes, followed by questions about each section. If you'd like to read the full drafts, you can also open the Learner Charter and Teacher and Practitioner Charter in separate tabs. The Charters are written directly to their intended audiences, so 'you' in the Learner Charter means learners, and 'you' in the Teacher and Practitioner Charter means teachers and practitioners.
The survey should take between 10 and 20 minutes to complete and closes at 5pm on 18 November.
Learners will be asked about the Learner Charter. Other respondents can provide feedback on both Charters.
Taking part
Taking part is voluntary, and you can stop the survey at any time. Some questions are compulsory, including those needed to direct you to the relevant parts of the survey.
If you're under 18, you can complete the survey alongside a trusted adult if you wish.
Please complete the survey only once, even if you receive it from more than one source.
Privacy
Your answers will be treated confidentially. We will ask learners some questions about their background, including their postcode, to help us understand whether responses represent learners from across Scotland. We will not publish information that identifies individual respondents. If you are responding on behalf of an organisation, we will ask for its name and we will publish the names of organisations that have responded.
Your responses will be stored securely and accessed only by people working directly on this research. The data will be destroyed after the research is published. We will use the information collected only to help us improve the draft Charters.
