Glasgow's Connecting Anderston project aims to transform the public space (Anderston Plaza) in front of Anderston Station and make it easier to walk, wheel and cycle to the station along Argyle Street.
We want to hear from people who live, work, study, travel through or visit Anderston. Your feedback will help us understand what matters most locally and will inform the next stage of the design.
The vision of the project is to create a bold and welcoming plaza that feels safe and easy to navigate. Separate space for people walking, wheeling and cycling is prioritised, supported by new and upgraded traffic light-controlled crossings along the route.
As part of these proposals, the existing stepped pedestrian bridge over North Street will be removed as it is used little and does not meet current accessibility standards.
Key design elements:
• Improving outdoor public space to provide a sense of arriving into the city centre
• Making the area feel safer and more welcoming
• Improving connectivity for walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport
Thank you for sharing your views. Your feedback will help shape improvements to Anderston Plaza and nearby streets.
This survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
The deadline for completing this survey is 22nd November 2026.
