The state of DSARs — tell us what you're seeing
The right of access (DSAR/SAR) is a cornerstone of individuals' privacy rights, yet there’s surprisingly little evidence on how the volume and complexity of these requests might be changing, nor how requests are experienced day-to-day by the people handling them. We want to change that.
Why take part?
- You'll be contributing to what we hope will become a genuine benchmark for the profession: a clear, evidence-based picture of DSAR volumes, complexity and resourcing across organisations.
- If the data shows workloads are placing real pressure on teams, it could provide a stronger evidence base for resourcing conversations. Equally, if it doesn’t that’s useful evidence too.
- We’ll share our findings with the broader data protection community and use them to inform discussions on whether the current legal framework around DSARs still works in practice, for both organisations and the people making requests.
The survey takes just a few minutes. Responses are confidential. We won’t ask for any personal details or your organisation’s name. We’ll publish the full findings this Autumn.
