Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and its housing partners are reviewing part of the Living Merthyr Tydfil Allocations Policy.
We are proposing a change to how adapted homes are allocated.
Adapted homes are properties that have features such as:
- Wheelchair access
- Level access showers
- Stairlifts
- Hoists
- Other specialist adaptations
The proposed change would:
- Create a separate priority category for people who need adapted homes.
- Ensure adapted homes are offered first to people whose needs have been assessed and confirmed.
- Help make best use of adapted housing.
