Operational Guidance: Incident ground radios consultation

Introduction

You can find a link to the draft Operational Guidance for incident ground radios here. Please use this version when responding to the consultation.

The draft Operational Guidance for incident ground radios (currently titled Knowledge Base: Fireground radios guidance) has undergone a full review to convert the current Knowledge Base product into operational guidance this was informed by:

  • Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 2 report recommendations
  • Pre-review research
  • User feedback
  • National Organisational Learning
  • Advances in technology

We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the draft guidance and consultation questions before completing your feedback online.

The change control at the start of the PDF file provides details of and rationale for changes. A tracked changes PDF version has been provided to highlight the changes and restructure, which can be found HERE. However, please use the unmarked PDF version, which has line numbering for you to refer to when completing the survey.

Please be aware that the hyperlinks to places within this guidance, or to other sections of guidance, may not function currently; this will be addressed at point of publication. The final version will also undergo proofreading and formatting.

Please provide sufficient detail in your comments for us to determine what content they relate to, along with the line number of the PDF document. If you suggest any additional content or corrections for the draft guidance, there is a question at the end of the survey that you can use to provide details of your sources of information. This could be a link to a website or the title of a publication.

Please note that the guidance appendices have been restructured and some have been removed. The removed content will be archived and is provided for information only; it is not part of this consultation. All tables within the guidance have also been converted into an accessible format.

If you would like to prepare your response, you can review the questions in advance HERE. There is also a save and continue function that can be used throughout the consultation so that you can return to your response later and pick up where you left off.

This survey will close 9am Monday 7th December. If you have any questions, please contact opsandcontrolhub@nfcc.org.uk

Thank you for taking the time to respond to this consultation.
