We want to get your thoughts on a new policy we have developed in respect of charging and keeping various electrically-powered devices such as mobility scooters, e-scooters and electric cars. The ownership and use of such devices/vehicles has grown significantly over the past few years but we currently do not have a policy that deals with the growing demand to own and store these devices and vehicles.
Safety has to be our overriding concern when it comes to deciding on whether we can allow such devices to be kept and charged in our properties and blocks. This policy attempts to do just that. Please spend a few minutes reading the policy and thinking about what you think of it.
In particular:
- Do you think it strikes the right balance between the need to protect people and property from the fire risk that storing and charging substantial batteries pose; and
- Do you think it should include anything else or exclude anything?
