Introduction
The Fenland Rail Development Strategy 2011–2031, adopted by Fenland District Council in April 2012, was shaped by significant public feedback and sets out a long‑term approach to improving local rail services and facilities.
The strategy focuses on three priorities:
Community involvement – ensuring local voices help shape future improvements
Better stations – creating safer, more accessible and better‑equipped facilities
Rail service improvements – supporting enhancements to train frequency, reliability and connectivity
In 2014, Railway Station Masterplans were developed with significant local input. This set out a programme of improvements to Manea, March and Whittlesea Railway Stations and enabled the Council and partners to begin securing funding and completing the technical work required for construction.
Following on from the improvements which were made at March station and completed in 2022, it continues to remain a priority for us to seek views about ongoing requirements and future aspirations for the station.
Your views are essential to our work and our ability to deliver more in the future. Even if you have responded to a previous version of this survey, we would encourage you to take part again so we can ensure the most up‑to‑date feedback is reflected in our work.
