North London Waste Authority is responsible for managing and disposing of Camden’s household waste. As part of our Waste Prevention Plan, we want to help Camden residents connect with nature. Spending time in nature can improve mental and physical wellbeing. It can also encourage people to take positive action for the environment.
Through our Nature Spaces Project, we are looking to improve the garden at Athlone Community Hall and turn it into a welcoming community space for people and nature.
We want to help local people to:
- Spend more time outdoors and in nature
- Enjoy and care for the space
- Feel a sense of ownership
- Take positive action to protect the planet
We will work closely with the Athlone House Tenant Resident Association, Joining Communities CIC, and local residents to design and create the space. We want the garden to reflect what the community wants and needs.
What This Survey Will Ask You
We would like to know:
- How you would like to feel when using the garden
- What you would like to see in the garden
- The nature-based activities you would like to take part in
- What would help you use and look after the garden in the future
- How you would like to be involved in the project and any skills you could offer
Your Views Matter
You do not need to be an expert, a regular visitor, or even someone who has visited the garden before. Everyone is welcome to take part and every opinion is important.
Your feedback will help shape future plans and ensure the garden meets the needs of a wide range of people in the community.
About the Survey
The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, we will ask for your contact details if you would like to receive updates about the project. This may include information about volunteering opportunities, community events and activities taking place in the garden.
