Question 1.

Historic England's Wellbeing and Heritage strategy was published in 2022 and in it we identified four priority groups – the purpose of this was to collect and develop evidence in these four areas so we can report on how heritage can deliver wellbeing benefits for people and the priorities were chosen based on current social needs and political contexts.

Please indicate which of the following priorities you believe we should be focusing on going forward (select as many as you wish):

Question 2.

Please let us know if you think there are other communities or social groupings we might consider as a way to target our evidence-based work and delivery with communities.

Question 3.

If you have suggested an additional group – do you believe the heritage sector is working in this area already? If work in this area is underway please supply information on a project or programme and a contact name in the comments box.

Question 4.

In the previous strategy we suggested one way to think about our working with wellbeing is to consider how we work with people who are 'thriving', 'striving' or 'struggling' – this was developed with the then CEO of Mind. We still believe that community engagement work and work in place can legitimately work at multiple levels – but we would like to know if you think this is a helpful way to think about working with wellbeing. Please provide an explanation for your answer in the comment box.
