About this survey
Social Investment Scotland (SIS) has commissioned Rocket Science, an independent research organisation to conduct this research to understand how affordable credit can be sustainably scaled across Scotland.
Here, affordable credit refers to small-sum (up to £1000) credit available to people seeking credit, including people who may struggle to access affordable mainstream credit.

What the survey involves
The purpose of the survey is to understand to understand how affordable credit can be sustainably scaled across Scotland, considering how to improve access to small-sum lending for people on low incomes and those currently excluded from mainstream financial services.
The survey will ask you questions around barriers, opportunities, practical examples and key priorities for scaling and improving access to affordable credit. It should take around 10-20 minutes to complete.

How we use the information you share
The information you share will be stored on Rocket Science's secure SharePoint site and will be accessed only by the research team at Rocket Science. Anonymised, aggregated data will be shared with SIS. Your data will be collected and stored according to UK GDPR law. Please find SIS’s privacy notice here, and Rocket Science's privacy notice here.
We will ask your organisation name as part of the main survey, and there is an option to leave your email address if you are interested in being more involved in the research.
We will take all reasonable steps to protect your anonymity, by removing information such as your organisation name that could identify you. However, please note that as the pool of expert stakeholders is relatively small, there is always a small change that someone that knows what you do in detail may be able to identify you.

Your rights to withdraw
You can stop the survey at any time and not submit your responses. If you want to withdraw after you have submitted, you can get in touch with Rocket Science at Zubiya.Moin@rocketsciencelab.co.uk and ask that we remove your data by quoting your organisation name before 5th December 2026. After this date, data will have been analysed and included in written outputs.
