1. Title of Research Study: exploratory study of loneliness, religiosity and acculturation in international students in London.
2. Investigator: Danyel Zisman
3. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between loneliness, religiosity and acculturation in regards to international students in London, UK.
4. Procedures: Participants are asked to complete a questionnaire about their religiosity, a loneliness measure and a acculturative stress survey. The entire questionnaire should take about 10 minutes to complete.
5. Risks: There are no foreseeable risks to participating. However, the questionnaire does ask the participants some quite personal questions. Should you have any concerns about any of the issues raised in the questionnaire, please don’t hesitate to contact the researcher in confidence.
6. Benefits: The study aims to gain a better understanding of the relationship and impact of loneliness, religiosity and acculturation in international students.
7. Data Collection & Storage: Each completed questionnaire will be completely anonymous. Completed questionnaires will be accessible to only the researcher and his research supervisor and will not be used for any other purposes other than the purposes of this study. Results will not be released or reported in any way that might allow for identification of individual participants.
