SWCP Ltd and STRAP Members Opinion Survey

On Monday 9th April the Directors of Charles Wells Ltd decided that, rather than accept our offers to purchase the Railway Arms, they would prefer to invest in it themselves and seek a tenant to run and reopen the Railway Arms as a tied pub.
They have advertised the tenancy on their company website and through the Find My Pub website as follows www.charleswellspubs.co.uk/pub-view/railway-saffronwalden and www.findmypub.com/properties/view/9752.
From the description provided in the adverts we understand that, subject to planning permission, they will refurbish and remodel both the pub and the grounds and offer a courtyard garden.
We need to know our members views on these plans.

A I am very pleased that Charles Wells have decided to reopen the Railway Arms and I intend to visit the pub regularly.
