I am conducting research into the benefits of crowd-sourcing photographs post-disaster e.g. after an earthquake. My final goal is to see whether these photographs can assist engineering experts in the remote analysis of building damage. I am using Christchurch, New Zealand earthquake (22nd February 2011) as my case-study. Through this survey, I want to understand people's motivation uploading photographs to social media websites post-disaster and to what extent guidelines will be followed.
