Thank you for your participation. This is an academic research survey focused on examining the equity impacts of personal vehicle restrictions in areas with low public transport accessibility and high deprivation levels in outer London. The survey location is centred in and around Ponders End, within the Enfield council. Your participation is helpful in understanding the commuting challenges faced by residents in these communities.
Note:
Limited public transport availability refers to situations where there are high costs, long waiting times, restricted operating times, extended travel times, and limited options for public transportation. Personal vehicle restrictions refer to:
Congestion Charge Zone (CCZ): This area in central London imposes charges on vehicles during specific hours.
Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ): designated areas where vehicles must meet stringent emissions standards or face charges.
Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTN): Areas where traffic flow is restricted, typically achieved through road closures or traffic calming measures.
Parking Restrictions and Costs: The limited availability of parking spaces is coupled with high parking costs in many areas of the city.
