Social Care Workforce £500 Thank You Payment – Application Portal for Personal Assistants

On 30 November 2020 First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced a one-off pro rata payment for Scotland’s lifesavers and caregivers on the frontline throughout the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This is the process for eligible Personal Assistants to apply for this payment. The submissions process is being administered by Scotland Excel on behalf of the Scottish Government. The payments process is being administered by Independent Living Fund (ILF) Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government.

To enable your submission to be validated and processed you will need to provide some information about you and your employer. Please click on the link below to download the privacy notice outlining how your information will be used before completing the form.

The deadline for submissions is midnight on Wednesday 25th August. 

Where possible you should make your submission using the online form below. If you are unable to complete the form online or need information in a different language or format, please contact the PA Bonus Helpline by calling 0800 841 1321 (open 09:30 - 16:30, Monday to Friday).

Once we have received your submission we will work to validate and process this as quickly as possible. As part of this process some Personal Assistants will be required to provide copies of pay slips, you will receive an email from Scotland Excel seeking this information if required. We may also get in contact with your employer to validate your submission.

You will receive a confirmation email from Scotland Excel once your submission has been confirmed and passed to ILF Scotland for payment.
