Social Care Workforce £500 Thank You Payment – Application Portal for Employees of Providers That Have Ceased Trading

On 30 November 2020 First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced a one-off pro rata payment for Scotland’s lifesavers and caregivers on the frontline throughout the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This is the process for eligible former employees of a social care provider which has ceased trading since 17 March 2020 to apply for this payment. The submissions process is being administered by Scotland Excel on behalf of the Scottish Government. The payments process is being administered by Independent Living Fund (ILF) Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government.

Once we have received your submission we will work to validate and process this as quickly as possible.   You will receive a confirmation email from Scotland Excel once your submission has been confirmed and passed to ILF Scotland for payment.
