We're currently campaigning to update the criteria for speed cameras - so that we don’t have to wait until there are at least 3 deaths or serious injuries on the road before action is taken and lives can be saved.

Speeding is a huge concern for many residents in our area but the use of speed cameras is severely restricted by Government guidelines.

Did you know that at least THREE SEPARATE collisions involving deaths or serious injuries have to happen on a road before a fixed speed camera can be installed?

We believe that one serious injury on the road is one too many and we should not have to wait until a death to take enforcement action on dangerous drivers.

The Government guidelines on speed cameras are out of date.
