Nominees will demonstrate transferring existing skills into their new role and must show a clear understanding of their responsibilities in the care sector; they must demonstrate empathy, responsiveness, excellent people skills and good practice, and be aware of the choices available to service users, having demonstrated delivery of these.

Nominations should demonstrate how the individual takes personal responsibility for the individual tasks that they do, foster excellent communication skills, cooperation, mutual trust, and positive working relationships. The winner of this award will showcase outstanding qualities which set them apart from others.

Leaders should demonstrate how their team, department, or service is ‘well led’ and should showcase how they apply leadership best practices, including supporting the personal and professional development of their team, driving staff engagement, effectively managing people and operational resources, fostering an environment of collaboration, and driving quality standards.

Nominations should evidence how the team fosters excellent service quality, enables effective delivery, demonstrates communication skills, cooperation, mutual trust and positive working relationships throughout their team.  All team members should demonstrate a clear understanding of the individual roles that they play and the whole team must showcase effective team working and outstanding qualities which set them apart.         

This award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate an individual's commitment to person-centred care or services.  Nominees in this category should demonstrate consistent focus on putting individuals at the heart of service delivery, fostering a culture of open communication, inclusion and trust, and should have a demonstrable impact on the daily or working lives of others. 

This award recognises individuals who have demonstrated excellence in driving compassionate, responsive and collaborative approaches to enhance the quality and effectiveness of social care services (directly or indirectly).  The category celebrates adaptable, empathetic and holistic practices that respond to the voices, needs and preferences of individuals to shape and deliver effective solutions and outcomes for those involved.

The ‘Innovate’ category award winner will have shown exceptional creativity in identifying, developing, implementing or establishing a new approach to delivering care, a new system or process, or a new way of working.  This innovation must demonstrate tangible benefits for staff, users of the service, or the wider business. 

Celebrating those who pride themselves in delivering excellent, high quality services, this award recognises individuals who take personal responsibility for their actions, their role and their service to others, and who are true ambassadors for their team and for the organisation – receiving outstanding client feedback, they will be changing perceptions along their way.

This award recognises individuals who have shown a clear commitment to creating a culture and environment of trust, inclusivity and collaboration – one in which everyone can participate, be heard and thrive.  This award will be presented to the person who shows true leadership in this area and who has had meaningful impact in improving relationships, driving partnerships and creating strong cross-team engagement.

This can be honouring the excellent service a colleague delivers to service users, the dedication they have shown to their role, their willingness to go the extra mile, unwavering commitment to providing a quality service, along with their approach to learning new skills in order to even further improve the standard of service they deliver.  Encapsulating many of the elements referred to in previous categories, the winner of this award will epitomise the very heart of our PRIDE values and always strive to support us in delivering a service to be proud of!
