We are the West Yorkshire Children and Young People's Mental Health Provider Collaborative, and are a partnership of:
- Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
- Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust
- South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
- Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust
We want to understand the full scope of eating issues within West Yorkshire. The focus will be looking at more than what would be classed as presentations that would require mental health support.
We want to know what people who work in the VCSE sector, think about the support that children and young people (0-25 years old) get, when they have/had an eating disorder presentation. This includes but is not limited to:
- A diagnosed or undiagnosed eating disorder.
- Disordered eating.
- Selective eating, for example Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).
- Emotional eating.
We would also like to know more about the services you provide, that you think would benefit a child or young person, who has an eating disorder presentation. For example:
- Managing feelings and behaviours
- General wellbeing
- Mental Health and Crisis Support
- Tackling isolation
- Body image, confidence, self-esteem
- Cooking/nutrition
- Developing and managing relationships/friendships
- Aspirations/employment/education
- Finance/Personal Budgets
- Housing
The information you tell us, will be used to make services better, by sharing what is working well and what needs to be better. The information you give us will be kept anonymous, this means we will not use any information that will let other people know who you are. Publicly available information about your service will be shared with services across West Yorkshire to improve signposting to VCSE support.
