Portfolio Building pilot survey

1. What is your role?

2. Please give an indication of your previous NVQ-style portfolio-building experience.

3. Were you clear what to expect after reading the text before the first episode?

4. How might the introductory text be improved?

5. Did you find the format of the training resource (the single webpage and downloadable workbook) easy to use?

6. Please feel free to add improvement comments about the formatting of the resource, perhaps using the questions below as a guide.
• What were the issues you encountered?
• How might the webpage be improved?
• How might the workbook be improved?

7. What was your reaction to the approach taken with the video material?

8. There are many different portfolio formats, and awarding bodies are free to design their forms in any way they choose.
To what extent were you able to relate our four forms to those in your own portfolio?

9. Were there any sections of the training that were not clear? If so, what were they and how might we resolve this?

10. How might the videos be improved?

11. What are your thoughts on the inclusion of the transcript of the narration?

12. This question is for users with little or no experience of portfolio building:

Are you now confident about how to build a portfolio?

13. This question is for experienced assessors:

How likely are you to use this free training resource with your own trainees?

14. All of the questions so far have been looking for improvement comments. If you have more improvements to mention, then please do so here. However, we would also be extremely grateful for any positive comments too please. Could you also add roughly how long it took to complete the resource.

15. Please add your name, organisation and contact details if you would like to be notified when the resource is made public.

Please note, we will never give your details to any other organisation – ever.

Thank you very much, from Tony and the development team. We really appreciate the time you've taken to help us get this resource right.
