Dear Resident

Midlothian Community Planning Partnership are always looking for better ways to get the views and opinions of people living in the area. We would like you to consider helping us get those opinions, by applying to become a member of our Citizens Panel.

For the last 17 years the Midlothian Community Planning Partnership has had a very successful Citizens’ Panel, whose members form a representative cross section of the adult population of Midlothian.

We need people from all walks of life and from all over Midlothian so that all areas are represented and no opinions are missed. It will be an opportunity for you to play a part in shaping the future of Midlothian, and making a real difference in the decisions that are taken about that future.

Citizens Panel members are asked around twice a year for their views and opinions, and it would not take up much of your time. The surveys are mostly done online or alternatively by post. We might also telephone you occasionally or ask you to join a small group looking at a particular topic or service. The questions can cover a wide range of topics, from general levels of satisfaction with services to issues around specific services like roads or libraries.

Please consider taking part in our Citizens Panel. As a member of the Panel you really can make a difference.

If you would like to be considered, please complete this short questionnaire.

If you have any questions about the Citizens Panel or need any further information, please contact Rebekah Sullivan, Community Planning Officer on 07341792438 or Jeremy Quinn at Lowland Market Research on 01360 311125.

Thank you for taking the time to consider being part of the Midlothian’s Community Planning Citizens Panel, and I look forward to hearing from you.
