How does the invisible, microscopic world impact our everyday lives?
In support of our strategic aim to increase the diversity of young people doing physics after the age of 16 and to celebrate the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the IOP programme in 2025 will invite young people and their families to come on an adventure into the world of the incredibly small where the rules change and amazing things are possible.
By exploring the microscopic, the nanoscale and delving into the subatomic, families will discover emerging technologies, exciting physics and learn how these are applied to the global societal challenges that young people care about. The programme will consist of exhibitions in our London and Dublin buildings, a published storybook, resource pack and pop up events and activities around the UK and Ireland.
We are looking for role models from a variety of regions, backgrounds, and jobs to be featured as a representative of the sectors listed above. This would include being in a fact file, and other supporting materials.
