Your experience of waiting for hospital treatments and your views on receiving treatment in Winchester

1. About this Questionnaire

To inform work being undertaken to reduce waiting times for planned hospital treatment, we would like to find out more about people’s experiences and views on receiving treatment, e.g., a pre-operative assessment or an operation, at hospital. We also want to understand if those waiting would consider treatment at an alternative hospital in Winchester if it was available. Responses to this survey will help inform our work.

Healthwatch Hampshire are delivering this survey in partnership with local Healthwatch in Portsmouth, Southampton and Isle of Wight and with the local NHS.

This questionnaire is for:
  • People who are currently waiting for planned hospital treatment
  • People who have had planned hospital treatment since April 2021 (i.e., not emergency treatment).
  • Carers for someone who is waiting for, or has had planned hospital treatment since April 2021

The questionnaire will take 10-15 minutes to complete.
If you'd like a paper copy of this questionnaire posted to you or would like other support to complete the questionnaire, please get in touch with Healthwatch Hampshire on 01962 440262 or email

Healthwatch are independent of the NHS and local hospitals. We will not publish or share anything that identifies you, but what you tell us will be used to help the NHS understand how it should support people who are waiting for treatment. We are interested in good experiences as well as the not so good.
