South East Museum Development offers grants of up to £600 to help museums address preventive conservation concerns that improve the care and condition of their collections.
Grants are available to (non-NPO, non-National) museums located in Berkshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, West/East Sussex and Kent that are Accredited or formally Working Towards Accreditation.
Closing date for applications is 1 February 2022.
We will contact applicants regarding the success of their application within 3 weeks of the closing date.
NOTE: As part of our Terms and Conditions, we ask our grant recipients to take part in next year's Annual Museum Survey. Failure to complete the Annual Museum Survey (registration June/July 2022; survey deadline Sept 2022) will render the museum ineligible to receive further SEMD grants until 1 April 2023.
