Hello, My Name is Harry Merritt and I am currently in my third year studying BA Design at Goldsmiths University. I am looking into the social and political effects of Hostile Architecture within cities in the hopes to create a process that will allow me to make human friendly architecture that prompts happiness and inclusive design. But before that I want to know what you think of Hostile architecture and what you would think Friendly Architecture should/ could mean. This questionnaire should take no longer the 5 mins and thank you so much for your time.

Hostile architecture is an urban design strategy incorporated into buildings and public spaces to control, monitor and prevent certain behaviours. It can also be used to restrict how long people act and move within a certain area. A few examples of hostile architecture can be anti-homeless spikes, slanted and divided benches, surveillance and in some cases the expulsion of common place items such as benches and bins.
