What is the purpose of this survey?
- To find out what values and considerations are the most important to our customers. We know you want plastic-free alternatives, as that is our raison d’etre, but what else would you like to get out of the products you buy here? We want to know this to inform our decisions when stocking new products, and help us decide how to provide best service.
What are we going to do with this info?
- Buy new products that better fit your standards. By knowing what you think is most important and what trade-offs (if any), you will accept, we will be able to provide what you want more readily. (That is, without us tearing our hair out in the search for the non-existent ‘perfect’ product that has absolutely no environmental impact, a fruitless search.)
- Create a better rating system for how ‘eco-friendly’ a product is. ABP provides a lot of information on the products it sells and the materials they are made from, but we would like to provide an easy-to-use rating system for materials in our products, making it easier to decide how to improve in all of our buying habits.
What will you get out of this survey?
- A say in the direction ABP is going. What power we are bestowing onto you, dear customer! We have nothing but love to give at this point, but you will hopefully feel a happy little buzz from our efforts to include and honour the values of you, the customer. You will be listened to. You will get more of what you want out of this.
Please answer the questions as realistically as you can. Some of the questions may prompt you into automatically assuming a very idealistic position, as obviously, we all care about the environment, and would like to accept nothing less than the purest, most perfect, environmentally considerate products. We know that this isn't possible as things stand right now though. It's ok not to be perfect and to value some issues over others. We can't do everything, as much as we might want to. (This is something that we here at ABP have learned reluctantly.) So, please, when answering the questions, try to answer them with realistic suggestions that honestly reflect how you are feeling. ...If you can't have it all, what would you like to have most?
