This survey is being carried out on behalf of the Councils in the West Midlands to understand more about people’s views on Covid-19 testing and their experience of the testing system if they have used it. The learning from the survey will help us to make sure that services are being delivered to all parts of our communities and ensure that everyone who needs a test is able to access one.
You can have a free NHS COVID-19 test if you have at least one of the following symptoms:
- A high temperature
- A new continuous cough
- You’ve lost your sense of taste or smell
Testing is currently available through drive in Regional Test Sites, walk through (no car required) Local Test Sites, or Mobile Testing Units (drive through), all by appointment only or via postal home testing kit. Appointments or home testing kits are widely available and results are typically returned within 24-48 hours, allowing you to stop isolating quickly if you test negative. You can make an appointment for a test through the Government https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
or by calling 119 if you are having problems with the on-line service.
