Securing a Domestic Lithium Supply Chain for UK (Li4UK) is a project funded by Innovate UK as part of the UK Government's Faraday Battery Challenge. The Li4UK consortium is comprised of industry professionals from Wardell Armstrong UK, The Natural History Museum and Cornish Lithium.
The demand for lithium compounds used in lithium ion batteries (LIBs) is expected to grow exponentially with the increase in Electric Vehicle (EV) production. Currently the UK, like the rest of Europe, is predominantly dependent upon Chinese supplies of battery grade lithium compounds (e.g. Lithium Carbonate or Lithium Hydroxide) used in the manufacturing of LIBs. The consortium will address a critical missing link in the UK’s battery material supply chain by identifying the requisite processing technologies and possible sources of raw materials needed to develop a sustainable, domestic lithium supply chain.
This questionnaire is for companies involved in lithium chemical, lithium battery, and EV manufacturing. We aim to gather information on desired lithium chemical products for LIB production along with thoughts on current and foreseen gaps in the EV supply chain.

We want to improve the domestic supply of lithium within the UK, that is why we need the opinion of your business on this online platform.
In addition to your opinion, we will also collect some personal information about you such as your name and email address to be able to contact you and follow-up if needed.
We will hold and process any personal information that you provide via the survey/site or by submitting emails and/or online forms for our own internal business purposes. We do not pass on or sell online personal information to third parties. We may, however, share information within the consortium. In addition to the information you submit to us via the survey/site, we may collect information about visits to the site, page browser access, the popularity of each page, the number of pages accessed by visitors, the number of emails sent or files downloaded and the average time spent on the survey/site. None of this information is linked back to you as an individual.
In collecting information about visits to the survey/site, we may use cookies to identify visitors to the survey/site, track usage patterns and to build up a demographic profile. We may also use cookies to track engagement through social media and improve usability by auto-detecting the country you are entering the survey/site from.
