The event features vehicles, uniforms, and memorabilia from the wartime "Allies".   Representations of the “Axis” powers in any way are not allowed and will not be accepted.

Location

The event will take place predominantly on Station Road which will be closed to traffic in accordance with the Road Closure Order.

Parade

The event will feature a parade or cavalcade of historic vehicles.  Taking part in the parade is entirely at your own risk.  The parade will take place on open public roads and you are entirely responsible for the roadworthiness and safety of your vehicle, and any incident which occurs.

Safety instructions

In recent years there have been horrendous incidents of vehicles hitting pedestrians at events (whether by accident or deliberately).  Safety of all participants and spectators at the event is of paramount importance.  Vehicle drivers must comply with any request or direction given by a Steward or Marshall.

All vehicles must enter the site from the High Street (at The George corner).  All vehicles presenting at the Ruston Road end of Station Road (at the big Co-Op) will be refused entry and will have to divert to the High Street.  This is a safety measure to ensure no conflicting vehicle movements.

Entry will be permitted from the time of the Road Closure (the final time will be notified to you by email) but please aim to be on site and parked between 09:00 and 11:00.and expect to remain on site (except for the parade) until about 16:00 please.

Cancellation

The Town Council will make every effort to ensure the event proceeds and is successful.  In circumstances beyond the control of the Council, it might be necessary to change or cancel the event.
